Together, we are embarking upon a journey to grow into who God has called us to be and embrace our mission to “seek and serve Christ in all persons.” Every one of us will have the opportunity to step out in faith to further the vision of those who helped build this great parish into what it is today and to carry us forward in our hopes and dreams for the future.
As you learn more about this campaign, please prayerfully consider how you can best say YES to Transfiguration’s future. Gifts of time to assist with campaign events and gifts of prayer are welcome and appreciated. Of course, monetary gifts are essential if we are to meet our goals for this campaign.
Some important points to remember:
- You can still mail your Pledge Card (pdf) to the church or drop it by the church office.
- Three-year pledges are requested. A three-year commitment period enables you to participate at higher levels than may be otherwise possible. These long-term pledges help us have confidence in our ability to meet the financial needs addressed by this campaign. The pledges can be used as collateral for securing interim financing for the building project, as well.
- This pledge is above and beyond your usual annual stewardship pledge which applies to our annual operating budget. It is a special, additional pledge which will be applied to these special, specific goals for the future of our parish.
- Gifts are tax-deductible and gift amounts will be confidential.
- We ask that you begin paying toward your commitment at the time that it is made.
Possible ways to maximize your monetary gift include:
- Re-channeling an expenditure that is no longer needed (such as monthly car payments once the car loan is paid off)
- Income increases, anticipated bonuses
- Accumulated cash reserves or unexpected cash, such as income tax refunds or inheritance
- Stocks and bonds*
- Real estate and personal property*
- Life insurance policies with cash value that is no longer needed*
- Bequests and estate gifts*
