In January 2009, we celebrated the opening of our Church Life Center South building. In the past year we have experienced the many ways in which this new space has helped us do more and be more as a parish. On a daily basis, it provides us with the flexibility to meet the needs of many different size groups at one time, including community groups in need of a regular space to conduct their meetings. The new Christian Formation classrooms upstairs allow our children, for the first time, to have their room decorated with their art and work, without the teachers having to move everything in and out of the classroom each Sunday morning. The Children’s Gathering Space allows the children to come together as a large group for music, worship and fellowship activities. Our clergy and staff now have offices in the same building as our sacred space and are better able to minister to visitors and seekers who wander into the church building looking for solace or information about our ministries.
In April, 2010, we dedicated our beautiful new Richards, Fowkes & Co. Opus 17 organ, and it is already filling our church with magnificent sounds and colors – supporting congregational singing, Anglican choral repertoire and the rich diversity of organ literature from all countries and eras. Its magnificent case greatly enhances the beauty of our church. This organ will, no doubt, help raise our already distinguished music ministry programs to new heights.
Now, we have the opportunity to take the next step – to continue the legacy begun by our founders. To further feed our souls and to proclaim the good news!

The Chapel – When completed, the chapel will be ideal for our Sunday morning Children’s Chapel, PES weekly worship, smaller worship services such as Compline and evening prayer, as well as small weddings and memorial services, for which a more intimate worship space is appropriate. Various other worship services might be held in the chapel concurrent with services in the main nave. Daily, the chapel will provide a place of quiet refuge, reflection and retreat.
The new chapel will be a uniquely beautiful worship space attached to the southwest corner of the Church Life Center South building. This worship space will be two stories in height and will contain the two stained glass windows presently located in the transepts of the main sanctuary. With natural light these windows will provide a special look and feel to the chapel. It will also become the new home for the original Æolian-Skinner/Sipe organ, as was envisioned by the donors of that instrument in 1970.
The Multipurpose Space – The multipurpose space will allow us to expand our education and information ministries by providing space for speakers’ forums, workshops, seminars and artistic performances – all of which will help us reach out to the community around us. Through the use of this space, we will be able to expand our relationship with community groups by working with them to host ecumenical events, further enhancing our ability to take an active, leadership role in our community.
The multipurpose space will be an entirely flexible space so that it can function as a multi-media room, lecture hall, theatre and general purpose space.
The Sacristy Expansion – The expanded Sacristy will provided efficient work space for our Altar Guild and allow for proper storage of our collection of beautiful vestments and other symbols of our faith and worship.
Retiring the Debt – A parish that is free of debt can devote resources to programs, ministries and outreach that would otherwise have to be spent on paying principal and interest on that debt. A debt-free parish is also in a better position to attract the strongest clergy and staff candidates when those needs arise. Therefore, retiring the debt will be the first priority for use of monies raised in this campaign.
